-
What is straight-through processing?
Straight-through processing is technology that lets financial firms automate transaction processing using online workflows. It employs electronic signature technology like DocuSign and features numerous other interactive, actionable technologies that foster product discovery, automates many aspects of the investment process, and encrypts investor information.
-
What types of companies benefit from Altigo? Who is not a good fit?
Altigo benefits registered investment advisors and broker-dealers who conduct alternative investment business by streamlining their transaction and administrative processes. Altigo also benefits established alternative investment sponsors with internal wholesaling teams and/or existing distribution to broker-dealers and RIAs.
Altigo technology is designed for offering types that rely on subscription-based order entry and is not a fit for investments that require other methods of order entry. -
What is WealthForge and how does it differ from Altigo?
WealthForge, founded in 2009 by Mat Dellorso and Fred Bryant, is one of the largest and most experienced managing broker-dealer firms in the alts industry. WealthForge has nearly a decade of experience with thousands of diligenced offerings and billions of dollars transacted, and its services are enhanced by Altigo’s electronic investment processing technology.
In addition to standard services like regulatory filings, offering diligence, and commission payments, WealthForge offers sponsors and syndicate members advice, technology tools, and network connections to help scale their business. The WealthForge managing broker-dealer operates separately from the Altigo team. -
Does WealthForge’s connection to Altigo create any conflicts of interest?
No. Altigo operates beneath WealthForge Technologies, LLC and the managing broker-dealer operates beneath WealthForge Securities, LLC. Both companies fall beneath the umbrella company WealthForge Holdings, Inc but are separate and distinct.
PII entered into Altigo is only accessible by authorized personnel at your firm and the offering sponsor. Within WealthForge Technologies, only a small number of senior IT team members have access for troubleshooting on an as-needed basis, and that activity is detailed within our SOC 2 report.

What products or services does Altigo offer to advisor firms?
Altigo’s straight-through processing technology provides an intuitive front-end for advisors to quickly initiate a subscription through an online intelligent interview.
-
Does Altigo integrate with my CRM/approval workflow/custodian/etc.?
Yes. Altigo features many integrations including with Redtail CRM and AI Insight by iCapital. Paperwork from more than 15 custodians is also available within the workflow. Once both the advisor and investor have signed the subscription documents, the firm can follow their existing process for reviewing and processing the transaction.
-
Does Altigo support manual/wet signatures?
Yes. Altigo has options for both electronic and manual signature of documents. In both cases, investor data is collected through the online smart workflow process and the subscription document is pre-filled, which reduces NIGO (not-in-good-order) errors. After that, the document can be sent for electronic signature, or printed for manual signatures and re-uploaded.
-

How is Altigo different than other straight-through processing platforms in the industry?
Altigo, doesn’t start with a document. It starts with a question and guides the adviser through a smart workflow process. When it comes to offerings, we have taken an “open network” approach. Some platforms decide for the advisor which products are appropriate and only allow access to those products. We believe advisors are capable of doing their own investment research, and don’t need us to curate for them and tell them what the best products are. We are also not competing with the asset manager to choose products.

No, but a third-party diligence report helps advisors and broker-dealers diligence your opportunity for their clients. We collaborate with several third-party diligence providers and can help connect you with a report if needed.
-
What makes Altigo different from crowdfunding portals?
Crowdfunding portals primarily deal with retail offerings marketed directly to investors. Altigo is different because it is an advisor-facing technology that relies on financial advisors and registered representatives allocating client funds to sponsors’ offerings. While crowdfunding platforms may make promises to expand reach to investors, Altigo requires sponsors to bring their own distribution partners, and serves to streamline the already established relationship between them.
